The Portal

This just looked like a portal into another time and place. Final painting on the Ashland Kentucky bridge that spans the Ohio River.

Arcade

I have been wanting to take pictures of the arcade in Huntington for some time and thought it would be nice to round out my photography work with some architectural prints. I ended up with three great prints from this shoot and it was hard to decide on which one I was going to show. I may add more later. But this one had some great lines and colors.

Shocking Photojournalism

A bit of photojournalism today. No this was not taken in some war torn third world country and it is not a murder seen. This was actually taken about noon on the streets in Huntington. Right in front of a major law firm. Maybe they got their bill. But the big city problems of homeless have made there way to Huntington.
When I took this picture I did not see the leg sticking out from behind the bush. So there are two bodies in the picture.

Clock Condom or Safe Time

Sorry about the shocker of a name for the picture but I had to call it as I seen it. Not sure what was going on with this clock but it stopped me right on the street. So which name fits, Clock Condom or Safe Time. If you would like to suggest a better name then leave some comments. Please keep them readable by the general public.

My Cats Eyes

This is Ace the cat and the photo was taken by Vanessa, my grand-daughter. The eyes are the window to the world. And to this cat our house is his world. Not much of a mouser, but a very good kitty.

Ready for Take Off

Pre-flight checks are complete, clearance from the tower, ok Ready For Take Off. I found this "Wild Silk Moth" in my driveway this morning. According to what I have read there is nothing real special about them but it sure got my grand daughter excited. Nice to have my little FujiFilm FinePix camera by my side, never know when a photo op will happen.

Chips Delight

One of my grand-daughters favorite restaurants is the new Mexican restaurant on 152 in Lavalette. Great service, great food and very affordable. Hold the Habaneros please.

Legs

Sometimes you just have to be in the right spot at the right time. I am trying to get over being afraid of taking strangers pictures. This was taken at Empire Books at Pullman Square in Huntington.

Morning Light

I took this picture at home the other morning just as the sun was coming up. I think they call this the sweet light. But it made for a nice picture. I took this with the Fujifilm FinePix camera, full automatic.
